Duel skills - help !!!!

Hey guys,


Question :

In a duel game how do you get out of a bad position and by that i mean being spawn raped constantly. I normally start of quite strong but after a while i find myself getting spawn raped and losing the match. I try to use my shield gun but then the enemy knows you don't have guns and kills yet again. Also tried to dodge the hell out of there with no luck.

Any body got some fancy moves here maybe some of the guys that have played me have some tips.....

after the enemy has killed you don't push the button to
respawn i'know you r very pissed off at this point but
don't respawn take a few sec's take some air in
and then respawn this move will let your enemy
think that you have spawned some where els
and will also throw him off track.

Except that they force respawn in competitions. Best advice is to rape back unfortunately.

Charge him down with the assault rifle, this will make him hesitate and give you a chance to escape.

HA HA HA- My advice would be to know the shield timings off-hat.

For eg: If you get fragged, know when the next 100 and 50 are going to be available. Knowing this will give you the advantage of where to hide for that brief period while your opponent is gathering weapons and ammo- then once you've hidden long enuff, charge for the shields and gather a good 1 or 2 weapons on the way. You will then be able to take your opponent on head to head and probably not get raped.
*note* this should all happen within 10-20 secs max and you should always have obtained at least 1 50A in this time as the respawn time of the 50A is 27.5 secs.

I advice you to spawn rather than not spawn. You never spawn DIRECTLY next to your opponent if you spawn right away (Well, never happened to me before in Ut2004). By waiting a few seconds you might just risk that he walks around a bit and as you spawn, right next to him or something (What am I saying?). Also, don't run for the first weapon like an idiot. Good example is, when you kill someone at shock rifle, in many cases, the guy will spawn at the 50 armour, and like idiots, they always run for the flakk ? Stupid considering the fact he just owned you and you dont have a weapon, but he does.

Rape back is also a good option :D

Of course none of this works when you play naut. The only chance winning there is being gayer than him. Considering the fact that he is a big hairy greek, the chances are pretty slim :P :P
