Inspired by another 'best gaming experience ever' thread on another forum, what is you best UT moment ever?
1. Beating Balgareth by 1 frag in overtime, on the Fraghall competition. To be fair, he got me back at Worfaire, beating me with 1 frag in overtime :P This all UT99 days.
2. Spending the morning hours away with Enigma on the duel servers.
3. Clan Elemental
4. More recently, the Naja vs. Helix game.
5. Getting a frag off Nautilian whenever :P

1. Getting a Double Kill against Naut and winning the match in Rankin.....
Flakked him, jumped off a ledge he spawned by the flak cannon, and I proceeded in raping his ass :D
2. Winning a Compressed map (UT2003) who had... Naut, Gandalf, Zero-1, Flo, Gengis and Blizzard.....

Here are my greatest moments: (I'm not too particular about the order.)
==> Killing Mburr three times in one TDM match on Grendelkeep. (He was on ISDN and I was on ADSL, to tell the whole truth.) P.S. I kept a screenhot of that match!!!!
==> A double kill with 1 Lightning gun shot. (Don't ask me - splash damage I guess.)
==> Double kills or better with a shock combo that you set up while moving fast. (I.e. actually hitting the ball without having stood with your feet planted.) LEKKER!
==> My one "dark horse" award on 3SPN Team Arena.
==> Watching 42::Mielie disassemble the ~MA~ team on CTF-Maul with his easy flowing style.
==> Everytime I shoot Biogizzard from behind, even if it doesn't kill him on the spot.
==> Typing: "Take eeeeeet Gizzlo" everytime I kill him.
==> Being called "SLUT" by Divexo.
==> Being called "SLUT" by Nautilian.

One of my favourite moments was a reflex shot with a LG - and I got a headshot - and I was being owned by the other player!

In no particular order :
1. Having beaten ]H[elix in our AWESOME clannie against them.!
2. Having picked up the flag after Naut dropped it in electric fields, with something like 3 ]H[elixions still after my ass & with nothing but a shield gun.!!
3. Getting a HOLY SHNIT on CTF-1on1-Joust..
4. JOINING NAJA.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
5. this wasn't that fun but a good laugh all in all, Having Lord_Xan shoot me with a rocket in mid-air on Grendel, he was standing by the Shock & just shot 1 of & i just so happily jumped onto it!! :( :)
6. Hitting i think The_Proven(well it was one of the helix chappies) with a fully charged Goo shot in mid-air on CTF-Citadel when coming off the 100A..!!!!!
7. Shooting a smurf in the air with 2 grenades by the 100A in Campgrounds.!!
8. Getting a MULTI KILL of max on ironic in a duel!!
9. Shooting a full selvo of spinning rockets @ elco & all of them hitting him.!!! :)
10. Playing with such a close nit community!!!!

Clan elemental was the good days... :)
Every "Clash" match with the Avatars.
Every time I get killed as I capture a flag (and a great big ":nana:" to whoever kills me).
Every Onslaught ladder match with Team D ;).
Every time I see <A>Nom@n running out of the base on CTF-Face or FaceClassic to come save me when I'm coming over the hill with a flag. I know I'm safe :).

That's one thing I left out. For someone who spends 99.9% of his time trying to be a defender in CTF, it's feels awesome to cap the odd flag now and then! :D
Oh, And I also killed TheProven with a Hellbender Rear Turret from an insane distance while he was free-falling after bailing out of a Raptor - überluck shot! :D

Actually I remember another spectacular moment.
It was one of the first ever UT99 competitions (I forget the name, but the one in the Boulders mall). I was preparing my duel game, praying not to meet Kilroy first.
The Thursday night I got a call from Naut, relaying a message that Kindred would love me to play the CTF comp with them, being a player short. I was no CTF player and hardly knew the maps, but I could gooi a rocket, so I grudgingly agreed.
The Friday came, I got introduced to the team (with even a female UT player – what was her name again, Rogue?) and off we went against the fan favourites KOA. So they saddle Gamos up as a flag runner and sent me off into the glowing horizon on Lava Giant (UT2004 have a loose recreation of that map.)
After some spectacular back and forth flag pickups and returns, I finally find a gap and get into their base unnoticed. I grabbed the jump boots and quickly grabbed the flag. A quick jump over the wall sent me running for my base.
Time slowed down as the sky went dark. Colour faded to black and white and the red masses of mordor breathed down my neck. I made a spectacular jump to one of the bottom passages and took a red orc out before I hit the ground. It started so well…
I made a quick turn and darted towards my base. I ran, and ran and ran and the only voice comms available was your thundering voice, shouting over the crowds.
Some mid map team relieve took care of some of my pursuers, but they soon died under the hail of bullets – and still, I ran!
Meters became tens of meters, which became hundreds, the solo runner of perpetual doom! This was my time…
Finally I made a turn and ascended a ramp that leads to my base. When I reared my head, there I stood like a deer in headlights facing the red base. I ran right around in an enormous circle. Not godlike aim, not damage amps, not shield pickups, heck, not even an aimbot could keep me alive when their pursuing wrath caught up to me.
Needless to say, I never lived down that CTF match. :)

well, most of my moments have been mentioned above by other players ( :mad: ) the only thing i can say is
-> playing a game on ctf-maul sometime last year, and having Tainted come flying over from the middle wall with the enemy flag yelling on voice comms "COVER ME! COVER ME!" like a little girl, i dont think i've ever burst out laughing like that before, and ever again after that. dont even know if he scored or not :)

Hey I was playing on Gozzy's Machine :P :P Could'nt find my shock rifle :D ROFL !!! OMG I REMEMBER THAT !!!! ROFL remember I jumped of the ledge... & you followed I was searching for the shock with the mouse button & scrolled passed the damn thing all the time & BOOM there you finish me of with the mini... (Had like 9 or 11 health left) Damn that was a fun fun fun match !!! I remember that so clearly, @ that stage (You Guys won't believe this) I had a:

Windows XP & a lot of Blue Screens & reboots (I mostly ran out of memory all the time) I played like 2 maps & had to restart ROFL !!!

I think one of the funny moments for me happend this weekend. Helix played MA. Well done to MA they owned us in the CTF. Anyways Mburr and Karny, joined us for the clannie. So there was a 42 player per side. The game type was TDM. The funny part was, after the first round MA wanted to trade Mburr for Karny cause Karny scored more than Mburr. I found that so flippin funny. Then Mburr scored more than Karny in the next map, so now MA wanted Mburr back.

No man FFS, tell me, cause eish, I can only remember Kilroy, Balt and Casper beating me. Oh yes and Max beat me when I first started playing UT99 again. Hmmmmmmmmm... nope can't remember FEK, sorry man, just is beyond me. Maybe we played that green tunnel map, with the green fog. Where you used the ripper and got like UBBER monster kills!
OMG YES does any1 remember DM-Construction and DM-Complex FFS those were amazing MAPS!

DM-CONTRUCTION & DM-COMPLEX was some of the best maps ever !!!!! Nope wasn't on that mappy though, it was one with the Earthball on the Wall in a wide Middle area (Hologram or something) Just can't put my finger on the maps name, but you shot it then you went down to a lava pit...

I Say BRING BACK UT99 !!! OMG there will never be a game like it again... Like I said I can't go into every detail my fingers will break off. There where just too many good times.

Playing 6vs6 against Naja. 1 o my team members scantiling away with the enemy flag, and the whole of naja behind him. I dropped my snot, and got a monster kill, followed by a holy shit.
Getting a Double kill using shield gun on naut in the same clannie. Shield gun Naut over the edge in citadel while he was running with the flag X2. (Needless to say that was snaut and shield naut day)
Winning a couple of dm without firing a single shot, used nothing but the shield gun.
TA's first clan match victory (against naja). I was sweating so much I was drenched, and after that adrenaline rush, didn't sleep for 2 days.
TA hellraisers clan match at 1 of my bryanston garage lans. What was supposed to be a adhoc lannie at my house turned out to be a 6vs6 clan match. first time I met the hellraisers. man did we have a fun time.
2 weeks after that, TA 42 clan match at my place again. we ended the day of on a zoom instagib ctf-faceclassic 1 hour spectacular team relay.
Lotsa of other heavy ffa ctf games on line and at lans.
Thanks to all the guys that have made those time available for me.
Best moment ever playing naja with the A team in ctf-lavagiant ut99 losing in overtime.
Found some new sweat spots I Nevar knew I had.
Must say that there is no adenalin like playing a ctf game against a equaly good team.
both teams have the oposing teams flag.There is nothing like it in that single moment ......just before a shock beam shoots you off the ledge and the opposing team takes the win.I will forver remember these moments.
Best moments
1) LANS With TA
2) Learning to use "hit-scan" weapons
3) Being taught by Naut
4) Beating Naut once on roughinery Duel Game.
5) The nightly FFA and CTF sessions - electric fields anyone ?
6) Nailing the flag carrier and returning our flag just before they score

I think the fondest memories are in clan format, both from E3 and UT99 and now Naja with UT2004. Nothing as good as a few friends kicking ass together!

eish, best moments? How can you just write them onto one page? Well, lemme try, off the top of my head.
UT99 days, starting a clan, and getting so far and making so many fantastic friends and enemies along the way :) It has made UT more than just a game to me, but more like an online lan,where I get to see my buddies, and then get my ass handed to me by them.
The clash's in UT99 had to be the most awesome games to date. I do not remeber if Naja ever won a clash (think we may have won the forst one) but the most awesome / dissapointing moment in my life was being beaten by the them Unstoppable Hellraisers / KOA team by 2 frags in BOTH TDM's. The final scores were 98-100, 98-100. Man, just to get that close to beating them was an awesome feat in iteself. they had about 8 of the top 0 in SA at that time (belgarath, baltazaar, casper, happyphsycho, reptile etc etc).
More recently, beating (actually, just playing) Helix in our last 6on6 clannie. Win or lose, that was one of the best games to date. Defending for 10 minutes in face holding onto a 1-0 lead as 5 ppl rushed in wave after wave sure gets that mouse hand sweaty.
Playing avatars in UT99. These guys were IT. teamwork, aim, everything. It took us over 6 months befre we got caps vs them (first few clannies was 5-0, 5-0, 5-0 in about 5 minutes). WTF did you guys used to come from in event horizon.
Recruiting so many wnderful players into Naja has to be the best highlight for me. It is great making so many good friends and the main reason I come back night after night.

- Winning my first FFA at a casual lan here in cpt
- Joining Helix (believe it or not)
- My first ever clannie (with helix)
- Joining Naja for the first time
- Beating gands for the first time in ut2003 on compressed
- Going to ESWC qualifiers for the first time and comming top5
- My first monster kill on that ancient map in instagib
- Training ut2003 with Gengis at my place before WCG 2003
- Beating Gengis by 1 frag on ironic in what would have been an OT game if was 2 secs longer in the cpt WCG finals.
- 2nd place at WCG finals in jhb, even the chair-breaking part.

- Hearing the crowd scream in all the comps I've played in.
- Getting the highest score in a 1v1 in 15 minutes (70+) a record that still stands for me.
- Playing astz in the UK and seeing him change his nick to "Imonlyaliasedcauseuare" when i start beating him on ironic (my nick was boRn2pwn) what a lol...
UT2004
- Getting the Ut2004 demo in the UK and seeing countless low ping servers for it.
- Being one of the first to get UT2004 in the world and, again, seeing countless low-ping servers for it in the UK.
- Playing in the same server as some1 from SK !!11!1!1

- Joining Dutch clan 7thday
- Befriending the best clan manager and and really awesome ut player 7d`Nemesis

- All my trips to and from JHB for comps and big Lans
- Capturing the winning flag vs Mielie/mburr and daweed (i think?) in a instagib ctf game on face classic along side with The_Basilisk and some one els i cant remember at a TA lan in jhb. The game lasted over 45 minutes if i remember correctly going into OT with 0 flag captures each side till i scored :D
- Getting player of the month in New Age Gaming
- Getting invited to ESWC2004, even tho i was replaced by mburr (there a forum thread for worst ut moments ever?)

- Beating Gamos on my amd k6-350 with 4mb Graphics Card 11fps + 56k on Complex (Although, I don't think he was playing seriously :/ ) (UT99)
- 6 shots, 6 headshots in UT 99
- First game of UT2004, getting pwned by gengis 25 - 5 on Compressed :D
- Beating Zero-1 for the first time :P
- Swearing at Naut
- Trying to play offence in CTF and not capturing the flag once because im so useless at it XD
- Pretty serious game on DM-Deck16][ vs Naut which he won 13 - 7 and me on 56k XD

I remember playing that CTF game... when u played with Kindred.. was a intense game.. wasn't that the Koltagon LAN? don't know Jhb well but i do remember it was in a Mall and Gallederhan was one of the main organisers.?
Well one of my top highlights was
- beating Lippogon at the UT99 Tourney in Richards Bay... indeed a trophy on the wall for me..
- Another moment was seeing Belgareth puke his lungs out after winning his first UT Tourney... haha.. was really funny...

I didnt play UT99 online much, I had all the server packs tho, still have them. Back then you could order them on a CD if I recall correctly.
* Well, with UT2004 the best moment was getting invited to join Avatars...(For the longest time I believed they really wanted a monthly fee...bastids!) I know you guys were easy on me with my try outs!
* One time playing a clan and defending the map, chasing flag carrier all the way across faceclassic, killing him, returning our flag, stealing enemy flag and scoring!
* Once playing UT2004 on ADSL...word! :P
LOL, ok, before I even knew what LAN was, I played UT Classic’s demo, playing that ctf map Masterful (the highest Difficult level on the demo) thinking I’m so good because I won against them running backwards the whole time.

I forgot 3 things
- Playing ut99 demo with my bro (morpheus instagib). This was the first time i ever lanned and got 2 pc's to talk to each other, best moment of all.
- Seeing the first ever gaming tourney at Java Cafe, it was Ut99 and i saw dRaven with his boomslang, i couldn't understand how he could have such amazing aim when he barely moved his mouse, i still remember him killing this other dude with secondary link and thinking WTF (of course back then it was "gee golly, thats nice shooting hey") i was blown away...literally, think i came 19th out of about 20 ppl, my mate came last :D
- Playing duel after duel at this years carousel lan with mudd@, big up to that guy for all the warmup he gave me when no one els would, imo he deserves 1/3 of what i won for comming first...errr...second :D

1) In first year when SUPPOSED to be doing assignments during deadline week, one of us would get up and utter the magical word... "FacingWorlds". Next thing we know, its time to go home and we're aon the verge of failing, but for a 1.5 hour struggle for supremacy on an asteroid, it was worth it :D
2) LANning that Assault space ship stage with da jets ( I forget the name ) for the first time @ OC with like 20 people. Then playing ONS for the 1st time. With 24 people :D

- Capturing the winning flag vs Mielie/mburr and daweed (i think?) in a instagib ctf game on face classic along side with The_Basilisk and some one els i cant remember at a TA lan in jhb. The game lasted over 45 minutes if i remember correctly going into OT with 0 flag captures each side till i scored :D
That's one of em moments I mentioned in my list
As far as I remember I was the 1 who got the flag out the base and u took it the rest of the way. I was also the 1 covering ur ass on that final part of the run. Man that was some hectic team relays. That game just finished short of an hour. After that map all of us needed a short break.

It really hard to get the highlights inbetween all the fun, but here goes:
- Getting 2 midair sec flaks in a row on Venom
- Nailing Gengis with a midair biogoop as he dodged towards the big keg'0 health
- First time I managed to do a boost jump dodge in ut2003
- Beating Scyre in a duel on de-Ironic 10 - 9 in overtime (he got me 15 - 4 the next game)
- The last clannie against Naja, winning the last map 2 - 1 after being 1 - 0 down
- The first clannie we won against TA (thanks to legacy and sequ3l)
- Meeting a great bunch of you okes at lans and tournaments, even you Haja.
- Beating Scyre in a duel on de-Ironic 10 - 9 in overtime (he got me 15 - 4 the next game)

I gave it a thought of some cool games I've had before too...... I'm not really much of a Dueller but I've got some great memories....
1. Beat Venom once in a duel 6-5 (I think he went off weed for a while....)
2. Getting A Killing spree against Naut. was leading 7-1 (he then got me and started his usual spawnraping mini-whoring thing :P)
3. Beating Gunny 12-1 on Compressed. :D :D :D (humilliating defeat!)
4. In UT2003 my first ever map win!
5. Just the other day.... Gamos could not touch me in compressed! :D
6. My first ever duel win against MAX......
7. Beating Legacy in a duel at a LAN
8. Beating Sequ3l in a duel at a LAN
Best times:
1. Having Naut all to myself one saturday afternoon.... showing me some really cool stuff.
2. All the time Scrye spent trying to get me to become better at duelling!
3. Helix LANS are teh shit!
Best maps ever:

Ye that did for sure rock, but more importanty you forgot that it was a MID AIR SNOT and that you had your back to me and flicked round and shot it! It has for sure been one of the most lucky yet most incredible shots I have seen in my gaming career!

It's damn funny shooting a charged-up snotball at someone and miss him completely and as the snot ball disappears from view you hear: "double-kill"!!!! Hey! WTF!!!!! Niiiiice!

Or shooting someone's redeemer disk and then kill them when they translocate. It happened to me the other night unfortunately. I shot my disk to the centre of the map (Face Classic) but turned around to fend off an attacker. I won the fight, but decided to get some ammo and health first. While in the base I encountered Naut, that flew out of there like he usually does.
I figured I'd translocate and wait for him, only to read 'You've been killed by Nautilian'. The bastard destroyed my disk on route to our base and about 30 seconds passed before he got the kill :)
I agree that every snot kill, headshot and shield kill is a reward in itself. I've had so many good snots with those weapons I can't even remember them all. There was a stage that whenever I picked up the snot I just loaded up that gun and used nothing else... think I still do that on the odd occasion. But lately I just switch to shield and run around like a madman with that. It's so funny chasing sum1, my shield is fully loaded, and all of a sudden that person hears me behind them, they turn around, and try to get away from me backwards they get so panicky that they corner themselves, and I just dodge in to them and finish em off.
My best Shield gun moment, a tdm in ancient2004, monster kill, but the guy I killed for the monster(kwankung) killed me with the shield at the sametime.

what i like most, is when u shoot a full salvo of snot past sum1 and make a snot trap right behind them, u still giving chace, so they step in it....cracks me up every time, especially if u do it on a corner and another gay steps into it for a double kill..:P

Wrecking Kwankung's Raptor in Torlan, forcing him to bail out and then lg'ing him before he hit the ground (he went splat)

8. Taking out Knayda 6-4 on Ironic, 56k vs adsl: the funniest game ever.
7. Getting a double kill against Scrye in a Grendelkeep FFA, both consecutive kills with the shield cannon (56k).
6. Hitting two mid air grenades in a row to kill Scrye on Irondust in a FFA (on 56k).
5. Losing by one frag to K4.Vektor after he'd just dominated Naut at the Didata LAN.

3. Beating N00mz 6-5, 6-4 (the first game in overtime) to take 6th place at ESWC 2005.

1. Starting Team 42 with Mburr and Mielie back in 2002 and going on to win every major tournament held in ZA for 2k3/2k4, including 1000manlan, ESWC2003, WCG2003, WCG 2004 and ESWC 2005, and not losing a single 4v4 TDM.
