hey guys lately my mic don't work so well in ut

despite all the tips of channels and setups i've tried
i still have to select the team channel first b4 i can speak
on my mic online and the same goes for public and local

now what i need to know is, can u have a binding/allias that selects the channel first and then opens it for u to say what u need to say

and what would it look like

thx

i havent tried this myself, since i have no probs changing channels manually etc etc looking @ the way my keys are set. anyway, if i understand your question correctly you'll want 3 buttons to use to "speak" but each one sets the channel you are on first, then activates the mic. if this is right, then it should be:

==for public==
"key" = Speak Public | VoiceTalk

==for local==
"key" = Speak Local | VoiceTalk

==for team==
'key" = Speak Team | VoiceTalk

I strugled so long to get my MIC working properly. GL, I think those beta drivers from SB helped.

well my mic works fine and the sound card drivers are fine to

it's just every time i need to say sumthing i need to select the channel the press the talk button, even if i just said sumthing in the team channel i still have to reselect the channel first. and the same happens for the public channel. it's a drag to keep pressing two buttons every time u need to say sumthing.

What helped me is:
0 You first select the team channel.
0 Then you press 'speak in team channel' (its a seperate button config in the settings).
0 You only need to press activate mic after that and you never need select the channel again.

It worked for me....

well now that i have a new mic, i should probably try fixing the thing to work properly cause it still does exactly the same

select team channel
select team talk button and babbel
select team channel
select team talk button and babbel

select Public channel
select public talk button and babbel
select public channel
select public talk button and babbel

has anyone experienced this and how did you fix it?

Bio, i have tested the following and it works 100%

PageDown=ToggleTeamChat | VoiceTalk
PageUp=TogglePublicChat | VoiceTalk

Just set the key's to your liking.

what 2 do you have to press?

this is how i've changed mine a while back:

// binds to select which channel
P=Speak Public
O=Speak Local
I=Speak Team

// talk button (press & hold while talking)
MiddleMouse=VoiceTalk

// alias definition for VoiceTalk (keep in mind the 28)
Aliases[28]=(Command="Button bVoiceTalk",Alias="VoiceTalk")

i have to select the team channel every time i want to speak on it and then the talk button after that to speak

if i wanna say someting again on the same channel i have to reselect that channel and then use the talk button to speak.

select team channel
select team talk button and babbel
select team channel
select team talk button and babbel

select Public channel
select public talk button and babbel
select public channel
select public talk button and babbel

i'll post you the section of my ini with the binds in,when i get back home, maybe you see something i'm missing

try using the "speak <channel>" commands i listed one posted up, see if those work. that should be a "basic" setup afaik. if it does work, i guess you could work it to suit your needs afterwards..
