Ok I for one love my Eye Candy

So last night for the 1st time ever, i decided to push my card to the max

I enabled AA and AF
Maxed those out at 8 and 16
With quality set to max as well
In game to 1280 x 1024 as i did not have my 19" with me as I was at a friend
All other settings maxed as well

Now before having set the AA and AF to max i was getting about 140 fps in game on any stage

Afterwards i was getting about 40 fps, can some one with the same card please test this, i would like to see if this is normal

Card im running AGP 8 x 6800U, 256 bit, 256 GDDR3 ram i think its called

One more thing, if i host my fps is higher than the rest of the guys on the network who also get higher fps if they host

Is this also normal?

Drop 8x AA to 4x AA. nVidia cards use 'supersampling' at 8x and produces a much much lower frame rate than their 'multisampling' algorythm with 4x.

Let's hope the Geforce7800 range offers 8x multisampling.

PS - ATI cards use multisampling at 8x

AA and AF taxes cards heavily, especially as the resolution increases. The change in figures sounds about right for a 6800 ultra.

Use UMark to run proper test for Unreal Tournament.
