AGASA, the largest gaming league in South Africa, will be hosting the MSSA National Championships. As an aside, the event is backed by the Sports and Gaming governing bodies of South Africa, which means that it is a Nationally recognized sport. Kinda cool, eh?

Reservations for this year's MSSA National Championships run from 12 May, 2008 to 9 Jun, 2008. The UT3 events will be 1v1 Deathmatch and 2v2 Deathmatch. And a little more info:

The MSSA league is a league we host, but it is starting later in the year, the cost to enter the MSSA league is R42 ($6), and there is a yearly registration fee with the MSSA of R58 ($8).However the first 2 tournaments are free, run by AGASA. The registrations for the 1v1 close on 31 March midnight.

Why do we have to hear about this from an international website?

Why are they advertising a local event to an international audience rather than the people who are actually going to take part? Are we not good enough for the Great And Mighty AGASA?

This type of bullshit results in nobody entering, then event organisers throw their hands in the air and claim "Oh well, we tried that, there was no interest in Unreal as usual... We won't bother next time".
