I got my eye on this car: Opel (http://www.carsplusplus.com/brand/opel_cars.php) Corsa 1.8 GSi 2005 (http://www.carsplusplus.com/year/index.php?year=2005)

what you guyz think.

price: 99 990
km: 72 000
model: 2005
warranty: 100 000KM

Just want this car for a start, will pay it off as fast as possible, will maybe leave the country in two years, so I am going for a second hand car.

As long as you don't mind being able to tell what type of coin you might have just ridden over (really, really hard suspension) it's not too bad a car. Engine could do with a bit of a tweak...
Price is so/so and 72000km in 2 years is a lot to put on.

What you mean by

As long as you don't mind being able to tell what type of coin you might have just ridden over (really, really hard suspension)

This car really caught my attention, been looking for a car these past few months. Tweak the engine with turbo's or filter?, I am the biggest nOOb with car's, so i will accept all advice, don't be shy :) . Got my license like 3 months back :)

I like the 1.8 GSI, so that must be okay for the long road  . First thing I am doing is driving to the coast

Dude, for the price diff the 1.6 sport is basically better than the 1.8.
Dont ask me for the logic, my best mates bro bought that 1.6 sport over the 1.8. (very similar performance, 1.6 was even better if I remember correctly
I have driven it alot too, its pretty decent and solid, firm ride but not too firm.
Actually decent build quality too, much more than I was expecting, motor has decent "torquey" feel to it too

But as Pox said, 72 000 in 2 years is plenty, and for that price too, I would not be too quick to jump at buying it.
Have a look at a few others if you can.

The suspension is harsh. You feel every little bump in the road. That's what I mean.

Thx guys for the info.

I am in Namibia and cars are shit expensive. I don't wanna buys something from S.A. I am going to test drive the car and if it handles good for me I will buy it.

exapmle a golf 4 1.6 model 2002 cost 99 990 here. and all cars are shit expensive.

golf > opel for longetivity.,

Trust me, I have had 5 opels and 2 golfs :) All my opels, round 150 000 km needed a complete engine overhaul, the golfs ran to over 250 000km without even touching the engine (one ran to 340 000 km before I sold it without doing anything to the engine)

But opels are more fun, they are nice and fast :)

I took the car for a test drive. It is nice, good out of the blocks. Feels light on the road so suspensions need to be improved. (to reduce the bumps and stuff, but it feels light in a good way)

Car performance is good, interior needs some work. But I can always trade in the car if I get tired of it and I know I won't drive it all my life, For my first car and me buying it myself I think it is okay.

Just waiting for bank approval and then once I get it I am off to the coast :)
