View Full Version : Firefox Down Load Manager???

I knew this was on the old forum and since nothing I found works so lekker with Firefox, I was wondering what the existing Firefoxes use... :D

What I do is start a dl, right click on the dl window (on the actual file properties being dl'd) highlight and select the file location, copy the link to my dl manager, getright and finish the dl.

Yeah thats what I also curently do but its a bit off a :\

The built-in download manager works fine for 99.99% of files.

I'll only download with an external program if the file is bigger than 100MB or so, since the Firefox downloader manages just fine :). For those it's simply a right-click -> Copy Link Location. Exactly the same I used to do in IE anyway.

Yeah, what shrimp said but I meant for sites such as fileplanet and co. that gives you crap when you drag or copy the url. First start the dl with firefox dlder and then quickly copy and paste the url as I mentoined above.

you can get plugins for most D/L managers (Getright, DAP..etc..) at the firefox website.

It incorporates DAP/Getright straight into Firefox.

For those that dont know this. As mentioned there are extra plugins for firefox.

The specific one in this regards is called flashgot. Has been out for some time now. It integrates all the popular download mangers. Flashget, and a whole range of other managers.

Been using it for ages.

The only thing that stopped me using firefox fully was the absent of this plugin. Once i found this i hae not used IE+flashget since.
