P2P downloads through i proxy...I think

At work we have incapped ADSL with download speeds of 700something, it would be great if i could tap into this, unfortunatly my torrent program doesnt work because we are behind a proxy, or atleast thats what i think it is, because wen i put the proxy into bit comet, it connects to the tracker but never starts the download. when the proxy isnt there, it doesnt even connect.
the same happens when trying to download things from an FTP site, maybe its the firewall settings. the network administrator wont show me, or allow these sites through, is there any other way i can get around it.

A) you would suck all the bandwidth he has
B) d/l torrents is illegal nad if a business is found to have illegal software / film on its pc's it could be in serious shit
C) You guys wouldn't do any work cos you would be d/l torrents and porn all day.

So rather buckle up and work, so you can get uncapped ADSL at home :)

he does complain bout bandwidth during the day, night downloads are fine
