Hey

I took one for a test drive this morning and quite liked it. Does anyone own one. Know someone that does.

I'm trying to get some feedback from ppl that actually own one, before I go an buy one.

yo man, my sis bf has one of those, its OK, i diced it with my polo 1.9tdi sportline, and owned him hehe. Im not much of a ford fan, he had trouble with his, and i have 2 friends with focus ST and Fiesta ST's, im quite put off FORD now.

FORD = First on Rubbish Dump
VW = Vokken Wicked :P

Rather get urself the polo 1.9tdi sportline :)

Your mate had any problems with his Focus ST Gozzy?

I'm torn now between the Focus ST and the Seat Leon FR.

Jinx mate, i get the impression you are kidding, I hope you are.
Polo's are just siff, and every oke that donsn't have a bakkie or a bantum, has a VW.
The seats are around mainly cos VW acn compete with themselves. A good number of ppl wont get a VW cos so many ppl have them so they brought in the Seat's. I have an issue with it but dont really care, cos those Seat's kick ass. And I have heard they driver better than the VW's.

Friend's Focus ST : We were in Capetown these December holidays, and then all of a sudden the Turbo stopped boosting, and he took the car in, and Ford says, that the thing had cracked that holds the oil filter, and the car lost total pressure. Car was in for 3days and he got it back, its boosting now, but not nearly as much as it use to.

Friend's Fiesta ST - Had his wheel bearings replaced on 20 000km, he had his powersteering pump replaced at 30 000km, and he blew his engine at 40 000km,
coz the powersteering's fluid leaked over the fanbelt, causing it to break, therefor blew his engine, and warped his head, took Ford 3months to replace the engine, coz it had to come all the way from the USA.

Sis BF's Focus TDCi - The car left him standing a few times, coz it just cut out without warning, took the car, apparently he had a faulty ECU.

True, VWs are so common it's nauseating. In any event, I really like those Seats, they can move and their pricing isn't half bad. Only thing is, apparently the interiors are a bit tacky, but that's seriously not something that'd put me off, say, an Ibiza Cupra 1.8 :D
