Patch issues

I just reinstalled UT2K4 today, followed by patch v3355 and then the editor's bonus pack. Unfortunately when I select either: Join Game, Host Game or Community I am confronted by an indiscreet firewall error!

It has been determined that the windows firewall is enabled and that UT2004 is not yet authorized to connect to the internet. Authorization is required in order to use the online components of the game. Please refer to the README.TXT for more information.

So I check it out and UT2004 is added to the list! So I search for the "readme", only finding the international readme I am further aggrevated by it's content! Multiple server info? WTF!?!?
I then realised the mistake the programmers made, instead of allowing the game to connect and ask connectivity permission, it's stopped by the ingame firewall hunter! Asses!

Anyhow, I am about to revert to the .ini and .cfg etc files to try and sort it out manually.

However if any of you know what the problem is, please inform me.

Eish my bru- just reinstall the bugger. Then before connecting to the net- patch with 3999 patch(available from file vault) and enable the file wall 1st so that it finds UT trying to get internet access, then allow it as an except afterwards, that might solve your issue.

Not the simplest solution soz but if all else fails........
