UT COMP - Carnage LAN - JAN 07

Well for my FIRST ever UT comp and Carnage Lan, I have to solemnly admit I had a BLAST !!! :D

Arrived on Friday to one of the most well organized LANS I've ever been to. The place was perfectly kitted out, there was hot food, good gaming space, a MONSTER DCC server running for us leeches ;)

So, arrived on Friday night, around 7pm, met Cripple-X, Acid_Burn, Pox, Warhead, Saint and all the other UT players (ermmm sorry if I have forgotten anyone from online UT - haven't slept more than a few winks this weekend due to solid gaming seshies:P) and I must say that they're all an excellent bunch of dudes, had a good laugh with them :)

Anyway to the topic, the UT comp kicked off at around 12noon on the Saturday with teams going into the ladder system. I'm not going to go into the full results but will say the final standings...

Final ended at around 9:30pm that night (LONGEST COMP EVER :eek: loOl) with the top four teams as follows...

1) Winners: Cripple-X and Warhead (bastids, excellent comeback to beat us in the FINAL- Grats, well done GG WP)

2) Second Place: Terror and Saint (Next time buddy - close one, was a tight final - and we're NEVER playing Grendel again loOl ;))

3) Third Place: Kiko and Dr Killer ( Well played guys - you surprised everyone with your excellent comeback and team work to claim third place- GG- PS: Kiko should come play online, lads got skillz)

4) Fourth Place: Pox and Acid_Burn ( Thanks for making the UT comp happen, you both did an excellent job and the UT movie you both made RAAAWKED :D)

Well I got a couple a screenies here, not going to post all the games - would just be to huge... the first one below is the FINAL with results..

Lastly - excellent lan, total blast of fun and recommendable to anyone close enough to drive through hehe:thumbsup:

p.s. |BFC| won the BF2142 comp...nice preparation for our team going into the AGASA league which begins in Feb i think.

Well played Warhead! Nicely done dude. As much as I'd have liked to have been there after hearing what a good comp it was, I had a much better time taking around 300 awesomely sexy and provocative photos of a stinker belter of a chick on Sat night :D

So if you are an avid photographer... then I am certain you will agree that an SLR and film is the way to go ;p Do you take your pics using slide film or colour film?

I personally like Sensia 100 ASA colour film :D

I used to take photographs for Foto First in my younger days. Now I take pics for an eyecare magazine in the SA industry. Its not my main job function though...

Haha syz, it's not the equipment you've got, it's how you use it. Agree film will ultimately yield better results, but with so much more effort and so much less flexibility. Film if you're an uber pro, which I'm not ...actually, I don't even own a SLR currently (in the pipeline though, looking at a D50 or even a Sony a100), but I did take these shots with a 350D.

Yeah man, you're right -- but that's why I haven't put up anything too revealing. And I'm definitely not showing them around to just anyone :P Anyway, I'll even show her them online, I know she wouldn't mind -- she likes showing off :)
