I am using 2 x nVidia 6800 PCI-E in SLI mode, real affordable config with nice performance. Worth the money I spent on it.
AGP why change?
I'ts being phased out:(

agp *sigh*
I have a Asrock Duel board, with both AGP 8x and PCI-e 16x slots. Still using my Geforce 6800 AGP in there till those DX10 cards appear.

I own a GeForce 7800 GTX.
I would have thought more than 50% of ppl to be using PCIe by now....

you will be surprised at how many people have agp and still want it
struggling to keep up with demand

I guess if u got an agp board, it will cost you about R5k for a firggen good graphics card. So now u can play most newer games with decent detail, and not have to upgrade your "old" ddr ram and board.
If u want to go pci-e, then us agp'ers have to get a new mobo, and while u doing that, you will obviously go for the latest ram, and a new cpu, plus the same grafix card u would have bought (the agp one), so your 4k upgrade is all of a sudden pushing 8-9k.
However, i think if you are upgrading your pc, its best to save up and do the whole lot, otherwise it is just like patching holes in a dam wall.
Pretty sad really, my pc used to be uber, now I see them for sale for 5k (the price of my card when it first came out :( )

I want pci -e but forsee buying another agp card before it happens
on a fx5700 now (hey! stop laughing ok!! its not *that* funny) and pci-e will need new mb AND ram (no use having new MB and sticking with DDR1 I guess) AND the GC [thank the gods I have a socket 775 P4 3 GHz chip)
.... madness
I want to win the damn lotto now
EDIT: beaten by Haja on the point I was trying to make *sigh* great minds and all that ...
AGP is, despite expectations, still a huge market. You only need to see how the X1900 and 7800's are re-appearing in AGP format to prove my point.

idd gamos
and it might make more sense to buy one of these high end agp cards and sit back and wait another round to see where we are all heading
as long as ut2k7 play like it supposed to I'll be happy for a while longer - you don't see *me* whining for a sli 7900gtx now do you
oh how I wish I still believed in Kersvader...
Running Dual 6600 GT Sli mode.
Its only worth clinging on to AGP if youve got the proccessor to keep up - Socket 754 or 939 Athlon 64
Those of us still with our socket 478 P4's or AthlonXP's are going to really feel the pain in Ut2007 and future games, regardless of gfx :(

Me too! Socket 478 P4 3.2
Obviously I'm still running AGP as well, Geforce 6600. However, I am waiting for UT2k7 before I upgrade.
Reasoining: My PC runs everything I want to do perfectly right now, so why should I upgrade? When it no longer does everything I want it to do (which I'm guessing will be when 2k7 comes out) then I should probably upgrade.
Where are options for onboard, PCI and ISA? ;).
Anyway, still on AGP as most people it seems, only way to get into PCI-E would involve replacing the entire PC except the hard drives, which is kind of expensive :).

Had an AGP 4x board since 2003 and upgraded a month or so ago to a PCI-X board with a 7600GT.
I agree with Jaymac, the only things I changed in those 3 years were a graphics card to keep up with the times and I added some RAM and an additional HD. Now, though, I did the whole shebang and only because I know how shit UT2K7 will run on a 5900XT & Athlon 2000+ XP :P
