Thanks everyone! It was the most intense CTF I've ever played. Really pro from start to finish.

Hey Najas, feel like taking Helix on for some ONSLAUGHT?

As long as we keep it 5on5, I am sure we'll be able to get a team going. Problem is, most our okes are just too plain dof for ONS :)

Lemme go ask who will actually play ONS...

Naja, the ball is in your court. 5 v 5 is cool with us. We can maybe do it after ESWC, so it doesn't interfere with your training.

Gamos
18 Apr 2005, 10:33
Ok, I have made the post at our forums, and will let you okes know as soon as there are enough response. I have an eary feeling that we will get our asses handed to us though :)

All in the name of fun however :)

I would seriously love to spectate an ONS clannie between Naja and Helix. Any chance that you yokels will let me watch? I may even have some pom-poms around here somewhere...

All in the name of fun :D Clannys are just like a million times lekkerder than regular Pub matches.

Cataphract

Xan, at the very least I'll send you the demo. :D

I have an eary feeling that we will get our asses handed to us though

Well, I for one am not taking anything for granted!

Gamos
18 Apr 2005, 10:46
I agree. Shouting 100 times to the pub players not to defend the base gets old real quick :)

Trying to explain the significance of node2 getting you a tank, is even more fruitless :)

Edit: And don't get me started on sharing vehicles!

Ok, after a very one sided discussion (me speaking mostly to myself) the deafning silence pointed out that our clan falls wayside when it comes to intelligent Onslaught. Most one liners, emoticons and swearing pointed out that I could gladly challenge Helix to a 5on1 if I so wish! Even merc recruiting would not help the cause. :P

We will persue our CTF challenge with other clans, and revise some DD option later. For now, we are just a) too simple minded, b) uninterested, c) devoid of skill, d) primate-alike to persue any ONS challenge (choose one). :)

Feel free to challenge us for some TDM or CTF matches on your terms. :)

Still i ask What is ONS! :-)

Cataphract
20 Apr 2005, 12:56
I am disappointed, but I understand your decision. Thanks for considering it.

By the way, you have White Trash, who's a hell of an onslaught player. Get him to give you some lessons and get back to us sometime. Hell, even Naut had a couple of good onslaught games that some time back, and he seemed to be having fun.

Gamos
20 Apr 2005, 13:07
Well, I hope they don't fire me, but this is the responses I got (I will not post nicks).

"Thanx but no thanx"
"What he said"
"How do you play that?"
"Rather some fun DD, Assault, ONS clannie"
"Weirdo"
"You need more sleep"

One of those was Whitey! :)

I would play! :)

Cataphract

"Rather some fun DD, Assault, ONS clannie"

Sounds like a good idea to me!

Gamos
20 Apr 2005, 13:25
Well since ONS can be over in 15 minutes, but potentially drag on for over an hour per map, I recommend we keep the ONS map to 1 only. Assault will be over in 20 minutes either way. DD will be over in 20 as well.

CTF = 20 x 3 = 60 minutes.

So how would we do this?
1 ONS 1 DD 1 ASS?

Lemme go speak to the humble servants again... :)

Cataphract
20 Apr 2005, 13:33
1 ONS 1 DD 1 ASS?

OK with me. I'll speak to TP.

Lord_Xan

Well since ONS can be over in 15 minutes, but potentially drag on for over an hour per map, I recommend we keep the ONS map to 1 only.

If you don't want long matches, simply put up a timelimit of 10 minutes and some harsh core drain in overtime. That way a round WILL be over after about 12 minutes. The public servers have timelimits of 30 minutes and very slow core drain in overtime, so it's no surprise that things drag on from time to time.

If you're still concerned about time, simply lower the scorelimit to 1 or something.

Plus, pick the right maps. Arctic and Adara are big no-no's if you have balanced teams. Then again, if you don't have balanced teams they can both be over in less than 10 minutes. :P
