Does anybody know where I can get an AMD Turion processor or the INTEL M processor socket converter that will allow me to run a mobile precessor on a nomal motherboard.

Why on earth would u want to do that?

Reason why I'm asking is:

The mobile processor is slower than a P4 - The main difference is that the mobile processor uses less voltage hencewise mobile.

Ummm, Crazychick,
the Pentium M is clock for clock faster than the P4.

Naut,

Last I read only very specific boards work with those converters, not all of em. Best bet is to import imo.

slap a Pentium-M in a desktop board, overclock it a little, and that thing seems to cream anything else  ... its scary

Naut, what board you wanna use it on?? i know that most Asus boards support it, and asus has an adapter, but i have no clue where to find one in SA

I think Mobile Processors are more advanced in my oppinion, i have a 1.6ghz pentium-m in my notebook, and its got 1mb cache(oppose to my desktop 3500+ with 512k)they build mobile hardware to use minimal power, best performance, and to last a few yrs, coz notebooks cant be easily upgraded than desktops. If i had to take my notebook and compare it on the same power it uses, the mobile would beat it hands down, hence this leads to that mobile processors are more advanced than desktops....hehe

Anywayz to get back to ur question, im sore prophecy would have no trouble at all finding the parts ure looking for.
