Uncapped Unshaped ADSL

K I got my new IS ADSL sevice yesterday... in the box:

Cisco 827-4V Router
Cables n stuff


6 static adresses ( 4 usable for networked devices that connect directly to the router the other 2 is for your router and gateway off course))
ping to sgs = 35ms avarage
ping to google.com = 600ms
DL off SGS per session = 38KB/S
International DL off majorgeeks = 51.5 KB/S

Service = uncapped and totally unshaped

All this has done is turn my adsl into a "lease" line scenario

600ms to google? Isn't that a bit high?

Yes, how much are you paying? What's your ping to the Mweb servers, just out of interest? (I know you don't play on them). I guess the relatively high ping to SGS is due to it being unshaped. You had sub 30 before if I recall correctly.

well 35ms ping isnt that bad...also the d/l speed are also better than capped guys get

and to think..you can d/l all damn month long at 50kbps..and not worry about any cap hitting you..then all excuses of " i am capped check this site plz" will be gone.

hell yeah i would take that deal.

i got a 27/7 leased line (64k) and i dont worry about telcom anymore..pings are good enough down to SA servers and i got all day and night if i wanna d/l. too bad i can afford 512k or 1mb leased line :(
