Not 2 familiar with the concept, but wrt "capping" does this mean u can only surf for a certain amount? Download a certain amount of content? Reason im askin is cos i just startd workin at a MM company and they sed thy have a cap and we cant download stuff, but does that mean we need to watch how much we actually surf as well? Do certain websites download like their Flash docs onto ur comp and thus use up some "download" tym? Help!!

any traffic you generate counts towards the cap (up and down).
if you reach the cap they either cut you off or reduce the speed a lot.
so ye playing flash games will download the app.

Wen i sed Flash, i meant like some sites have a lotta flash banners an stuff, do those get downloaded? Also, would going on Forums / chat sites generally contribute alot? Cos thats what i mainly do
Remember, downloads don't always mean something downloading to your hard drive. If you visit the UZA forums for one, you actually 'download' the page you are trying to view. Any banner adds, pictures and flash animations/games will also be downloaded traffic.
Think LAN. You don't actually download from your buddy's computer, but you still do traffic (via broadcasting or whatever)

FINAL question (i promise!) Does the amount UPLOADED also take away from ur cap? Cos that figure seems disproportionally larger to the "downloaded" figure
Yes both up and down traffic counts toward the cap.
Your upload should be many many times less than your download, unless you upload alot via FTP or whatever.
Also, using P2P apps, will essentially open up your machine for other users to download FROM you, contributing to the upload cap.

if u use DUMeter rather use NetMeter. DUMeter is just a rip-off of NetMeter (it looks identical) with less features. +NetMeter is free.
