Hi Guyz,
I need a simple yes or no to the following please, my girlfriend is hot and has hot friends and if you behave on this trhread she will hook you up. She is dong research for hir 3rd yr varsity project and wants to base it on us lowly ut gamers!
Can you guyz tell me whether you would be interested in a venue that provided accomodation, food, alchohol and STABLE POWER. This venue would be open every weekend for you to host a lan of any nature eg. BF2, WOW etc etc and would even cater for those of coming from afar especially chris and penny lol!!!!!
Servers and cables would be provided, with a lan admin on site, you would need to simply bring ur pc and and plug in. Monitors are not needed as every spot / seat comes with a 17" monitor.
So in summation, you, your pc, un-interruped gaming and a comfy bed at the end of the day.
Yeah the OC's Organised Chaos lans in CT have all those facilities you mentioned above apparently(never been) and they are huge success although those are only hosted once a month. Anywhere between 50 - 100 people attend that each month as cost is like R50 for the weekend with food stalls, showers, and sleeping areas.
I guess if it's in a central location to the masses it would be a success. My guess you would need to have to charge an entrance fee to the venue to cover the costs. If it's reasonable I know people will come, thing is every weekend might get a bit much. Maby if it was say once or twice a month it would work better imo.
Ok, run it past me how your girlfriend and her hot friends have anything to do with us?

this is the wierdest thread i have ever seen...
I still don't see what a LAN venue and females have to do with each other. I'm guessing your girlfriend is using forum trolls as a sample population through which to analyse behavioural trends, or perhaps personality traits?
Basically put, I'm trying to figure out if you're asking us if we're interested in LANning, or if we're interested in getting hooked up with women.

The girls offer was intended to get evryone just to answer the poll without creating replies such as the ones just prior to this one, all she wanted to know was, if we as gamers, be provided these venues, would we use them?

To make the venue work for UT - u will need to get a few clans there.
If its just arrive and play - whithout knowing who is there - that could be a problem. (UT specific)
The majority of casual gamers will just play whatever.
However UT players are die hards.
