So the rumors are true. Read it in the Beeld. Theres a 5FM Coca Cola tour starting in March with metal band Metallica touring with Seether (formerly known as Saron Gas), The Finklesteens (SP?) and even Fatboy Slim.

Anyways, I think it'll be a first for Metallica to set foot in Africa and I'm sure as hell not gonna miss it. First show at Supersport Park, Centurion, 18 March. Then onto Durbs and CT I think...

So whos goin?

Featuring Metallica, Collective Soul (USA), The Rasmus (Finland), Simple Plan (Canada) and Fatboy Slim (UK), plus local artists; Finkelsteins, Parlotones, Prime Circle, Seether, Flat Stanley, State Far Better, and Spoonfeedas. Each artist will perform for between 45 and 60 minutes, with two side-by-side stages ensuring unbroken entertainment.

Funny thing is if you like in the U.K , you get to see these bands playing all the time. Oh well haven't seen any of these bands live before so I guess I am going to be getting a ticket too.

This is going to be a big one for South Africa, w00t.

I was looking forward to it when I first heard about this, but Metallica's gigs are usually several hours. I'm not sure if "40 - 60 minutes" would cut it for me.

I agree ice cap...

I mean who in their right mind would want to see those wankers the finklesteins any way?
{besides drunk 12 yr old teeny boppers}

I think it would have been better to have just metallica and maybe seether to open for them :D

Not all these other carnies

100% right on the button there... sorry ne....

Guys i here everyone ranting about Metallica, which i agree is awesome, but the other international acts are nothing to frown about Collective Soul? The Rasmus? Simple Plan? this going to be the biggest act we have ever seen cannot wait for this to happen :).... i am also certain that for Metallica's first appearance in SA they would bring out the older stuff.... here we go:)

ye, well metallica was good before the black album, but at their gig, i'm sure they'll play some decent heavy stuff from their heydays, and i agree, from that their st anger album was a total abortion.

ps , i definetly got myself golden circle tickets ;)
