the attached screenie, taken about 10 minutes ago (according to my clock 00:20). which means i downloaded 243 MB in 20 minutes. perhaps this is possible, like in a freakish way but to clear things up i wasnt even downloading anything @ that time and i doubt the few lines i typed on IRC uses 243MB of bandwidth.

so, anyone else having anomalies on their adsl usage graphs? 243MB is quite a bit to just ignore and i suppose nothing can be done about this, right?

LOL! Someones bound to get capped soon! :P
Check your backround services and anything that relates to auto-updating (norton, windows update, etc.)
Else I dunno, unless you've shared your drives or directories and someone got into your machine or something.

I had some weird stuff last month too.
In one day, which i knew i wasnt downloading, suddenly i had used 1.3 gigs in that day alone. First time this weirdness has happened.

Some punk ass mofo somewhere has probably figured out how to tap into ADSL lines accross the nation, or not.

Get a program called bandwith controller, it will show you per second, graphs of incoming and outcoming traffic, you cannot check what teh source is though :/, and its for your lan too, but, you cant maybe get a firewall?
