Hey there guys,

Only really got to read your last thread a bit too late, anyways from my side I wanna wish you guys all the best, I am quite confident in saying that we will see you back in UT2k7, as well as saying that I will see you guys around in Q4. I look forward to seeing the likes of your talented players go head to head vs players such as Phantom, Undead and any other dedicated Q3 boys, would be some awesome entertainment IMHO.

On a personal note, I would like to apologise to any hard feelings between us.

God speed.

Thanks dude, you always know the rivalry is between us all is because you're always such a good sport; nothing personal.

I have already made the switch to q3 a couple of months ago, I still need to post my UT2k4 (remake of ztn3t1) map though.
Anyway try the local quadran6.za.net forum, I am sure it will get more active after the release of quake 4. Other than that www.esreality.com (http://www.esreality.com) keeps good track of events and there are lots of quakers there waiting for quake 4, and they will discuss anything related to quake 4 before and after it is released.
Visit www.cyberfight.org (http://www.cyberfight.org) for latest demos of the pros, to keep track of player skill and to learn from them.

They don't post demos on cyberfight as much as what they use to, i haven't seen a UT demo in ages, well apart from someone posting one there the other day. To tell you the truth i miss all the big boys in quake 3, they use to have tight games, all i see now a days is a whole bunch of noobs thinking they pro! But as i said i haven't looked at the site for quite some time now!

Hey guys,

Sorry to change the topic here,

What servers are good or recommended for quake 3 arena.

I tried to play a few nights back, and out of the 2048 servers it was a bit hard to find anybody.

:)

Any local server with OSP

Which leaves you with a grand total of two or three, with different ports open.

Well, hopefully we'll get a couple of friendly games in of that. Shot for the good wishes.

Take it easy. :D

Ragnarok addressed you asking about tips and advice.

As for how many of us intend to switch, I'd say all. Times change, people change, and FPS games of choice change. :p
