I miss the old in your face combat in UT99, so the new style will be quite cool for me. UT99 also felt like there was some kind of story behind everything, whereas the later UT's basically was just a bunch of random maps. So if they make the game more like UT99 in that sense that would be great.

I love the acrobatics in UT2K4, so the good thing about all this is that we can still play both. I better start saving for a next gen PC though, my old 9800Pro is just not going to cut it anymore (especially after running the F.E.A.R. demo I can see which directions things are going)

Epic is hoping to finish up Unreal Tournament 2007 and release it alongside Gears of War. That makes the game a Q1 - Q2 2006 release

That's like 6 - 9 months away? Probably wishful thinking on Epic's part, but it would be cool if they actually managed that :).

Though juging by the previews, it sounds like most of the maps and other content is still in the planning phase.
