Forumer and ace level designer, evilmrfrank, is busily crafting an entire custom campaign for Borderlands. Yes, Borderlands. Surprising, mostly because the game ships with no level editor... but that's not a problem! Check out the sexy shots below.

Joystiq has popped up a quick Q&A with Sjoerd De Jong (Hourences to the legions of Unreal fans) regarding development of the indie title: The Ball.
More...Why did you want to make games?
I kind of just rolled into it. I started out by making custom levels for Unreal back in 1999. I never expected to actually achieve anything with what I was doing, let alone earn money with it. I really liked making levels though. So much so I started staying away from school so I could work on my levels. My work was consistently well received, and before I knew it I got into the games industry. I like how I get to create entire worlds out of thin air, capture people's imagination, and give them a place to relax after a bad day at work.
So everyone and their dog is ready for Gears 3 to come out and they find a new trailer that really gets them pumped up using Johnny Cash's "Hurt" cover. YEAH! As cool as it is, the trailer is not made by Epic nor is it made using any Gears 3 assets. All the more reason for this little video to be incredibly impressive!
More...Adam Sessler hosted the Gears of War 3 discussion panel during Comic-Con 2010 this weekend. In addition to Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski and Rod Fergusson, scriptwriter/author Karen Traviss and the voice artists of Dom and Cole Train make appearances. You'll also spot some juicy new footage of the gang taking on a Berserker. (Video courtesy of Gamespot)
Every Gears of War player surely has an opinion on Clayton Carmine - you either pity him or wish that his head would get an unwilling divorce from his body. Well, lucky players, seems you'll get to decide if the Carmine clan loses two or three members:
Beginning July 29, Xbox 360 owners can purchase one of two Avatar t-shirts, one branded "Save Carmine" the other with the harrowing phrase "Carmine Must Die." Based on purchases, the Carmine brother's fate will be decided in the single player campaign of Gears of War 3, launching on the Xbox 360 on April 5, 2011.
All proceeds of the Avatar Marketplace purchases will go to the Child's Play Charity, which benefits sick children. Additionally, NECA will be offering real-life versions of the Avatar Marketplace gear during the San Diego Comic-Con for $20, which will also act as votes in the "Life or Death Poll."
Alive? Dead? You're the guy with the vote.
